Sridora Caculo College Signs MoU with Goa Technology Association

We are delighted to share that Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa has signed an MoU with the Goa Technology Association (GTA). Goa Technology Association Meets IT Minister to Discuss AI Policy

The Goa Technology Association convened a meeting with the Hon’ble Minister for IT and the Director of Information Technology, bringing together key stakeholders from the IT industry, including companies working in AI, automation, and intelligent systems. The objective was to create a collaborative platform for meaningful dialogue and to enable industry participants to share their insights, experiences, and recommendations towards the development of a robust and future-ready AI policy. This engagement provided a valuable opportunity to align government vision with industry expertise, ensuring that the state’s AI roadmap is shaped by practical, real-world perspectives, emerging trends, and innovation-driven inputs from the ecosystem.

GTA Tech Future Select Job Drive

At a time when the narrative often suggests that opportunities are scarce, the GTA Tech Future Select – Job Drive demonstrated a different reality. Organized by the Goa Technology Association (GTA) in association with the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Goa, alongside Converge 3.0, the event brought together 30 leading technology companies and offered more than 150 job opportunities to aspiring professionals across the state. The response was truly overwhelming and exceeded expectations. More than 1,150 students registered online for the placement drive, with approximately 680 candidates attending in person at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. The enthusiasm displayed by students and job seekers reflected the growing aspiration to build careers within Goa’s thriving technology ecosystem. Equally encouraging was the response from participating companies, all of whom appreciated the scale, quality, and engagement of the candidates. The event was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Bhushan Sawaikar, Director of Higher Education, Government of Goa, along with Dr. Niyan Marchon, Program Director, Directorate of Higher Education, and members of the Goa Technology Association leadership team. Their presence underscored the importance of industry-academia collaboration in creating meaningful employment opportunities and preparing students for the evolving demands of the technology sector. Beyond recruitment, the GTA Tech Future Select Job Drive served as a powerful reminder that the challenge is not the absence of jobs, but the need for industry-ready talent. As GTA continues to bridge the gap between education and employment, initiatives like these are helping shape future careers, strengthen the local talent pipeline, and build a stronger technology ecosystem for Goa. GTA Awards Night & Summit

The GTA AGM & Awards Night 2025 was a landmark celebration of leadership, innovation, and collaboration within Goa’s technology ecosystem. Bringing together industry veterans, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem enablers under one roof, the event showcased the collective strength of Goa’s growing tech community and its vision for the future. A highlight of the evening was the recognition of 25 distinguished Goan technology professionals whose contributions have played a pivotal role in shaping the state’s digital journey. Through years of innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustained industry growth, these trailblazers have helped lay the foundation for a thriving and globally competitive technology ecosystem. The awards served as a tribute to their achievements and an inspiration for the next generation of technology leaders. The event also marked several important milestones for the association. Two strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with the Directorate of Higher Education and the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), reinforcing GTA’s commitment to strengthening industry-academia collaboration and expanding opportunities for Goan technology companies. The evening further welcomed Mr. Mangirish Salelkar as the new President of GTA, along with the newly elected Managing Committee comprising Milind Prabhu, Rohan Warty, Yashvit Naik, Chinmay Sanjiv Kamat, Amol Bhandarkar, Vikram Pai Raikar, and Rohir Naik. Graced by the presence of Hon’ble IT Minister Shri Rohan Khaunte, Shri Rajesh Revankar (ESC), Shri Ajay P. Shrivastava (STPI), Shri Nitin Kunkolienker (MAIT), Shri Kabir Shirgaonkar (Department of Information Technology), and outgoing President Shri Sujeet Shetty, the event reflected the strong partnerships driving Goa’s technology ecosystem forward.
