GTA Tech Future Select Job Drive

At a time when the narrative often suggests that opportunities are scarce, the GTA Tech Future Select – Job Drive demonstrated a different reality. Organized by the Goa Technology Association (GTA) in association with the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Goa, alongside Converge 3.0, the event brought together 30 leading technology companies and offered more than 150 job opportunities to aspiring professionals across the state.

The response was truly overwhelming and exceeded expectations. More than 1,150 students registered online for the placement drive, with approximately 680 candidates attending in person at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. The enthusiasm displayed by students and job seekers reflected the growing aspiration to build careers within Goa’s thriving technology ecosystem. Equally encouraging was the response from participating companies, all of whom appreciated the scale, quality, and engagement of the candidates.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Bhushan Sawaikar, Director of Higher Education, Government of Goa, along with Dr. Niyan Marchon, Program Director, Directorate of Higher Education, and members of the Goa Technology Association leadership team. Their presence underscored the importance of industry-academia collaboration in creating meaningful employment opportunities and preparing students for the evolving demands of the technology sector.

Beyond recruitment, the GTA Tech Future Select Job Drive served as a powerful reminder that the challenge is not the absence of jobs, but the need for industry-ready talent. As GTA continues to bridge the gap between education and employment, initiatives like these are helping shape future careers, strengthen the local talent pipeline, and build a stronger technology ecosystem for Goa. With strong participation from both students and employers, we remain hopeful of significant hiring outcomes and look forward to seeing many success stories emerge from this initiative.
